[QUOTE=Kre8t0r]I actually prefer the SKS to both.. For one it's not stamped parts like the AK so it doesn't rattle as much, it also fires the same round as the AK which has way more stopping power than an AR-15's .223 round
[QUOTE]

I agree and with a little thought and a bench grinder you can trim down the trigger group for some serious Full Auto action... wait that was what got the Feds so pissed at my back in 95. Nevermind, forget I said that.

Lace 03-24-2006 06:02 PM

I love how all of you have your fingers ON the triger, and pointed at the cam....rofl.

I should never have posed for this pic and I know I am going to catch some shit for this but anybody who has seen me shoot knows that every shot of mine was in the white lines. This target was slightly used when I stepped up.

If you don't believe me then put your money where your mouth is. I can confidently say that I will outshoot 99.99% of you. :winkwink:

Seems to me the stupid person is the one who is not noticing that Anthony took his own pic by holding the camera out and mine was taken with a tripod and a timer.

But please...go on and tell us about more things you know nothing about.....

Why would you want to go shooting with somebody as stupid as me? I mean hell....I may decide to point my gun at you and have you take a pic.

AaronM 03-24-2006 08:34 PM

And "Technically" speaking....Most veterans of .45's know that the old school way to carry is known as "Cocked and Locked." Meaning that the hammer is back, the round is chambered, and the slide lock is engaged.

Well I may have 'jumped the gun' but its still stupid to have it loaded unless youre at the range or ready to shoot something. Growing up my whole life around guns, ive learned alot of respect for them.

Veterans of the 45? ooooK! ...wth is a slide lock going to do if the round is already chambered and hammer cocked? Keep the slide from ejecting the shell? ...only slide lock I know of is to keep the slide BACK, like after the clip is empty. Enlighten me here, please.

AaronM 03-24-2006 08:46 PM

Here's an example of somebody who doesn't know WTF they are doing with a firearm.

My bad with the terminology. I was referring to cocked and locked with the thumb safety as demonstrated here.

How can you even call people stupid on an assumption. You have no idea wether those weapons were loaded in the pics.

You could have assumed these people practiced safe gun handling by checking and unloading the weapons before snapping the pictures. But instead you assumed they are snapping pics of themselves with an unchecked loaded weapon.

Krosh,

Bro, I'm sorry if you think your wide groups will beat me. I'm 2 to 3 inch groups at 25 feet. 5 to 6 at 50 feet. :)

If I need to bring my A game, I'll use a 1911A1. :)

The target I have posted was shot with a very used and rented 9mm. You would not believe the grouping I am getting out of that Kimber.....Hell, even I don't really believe it.

sickbeatz 03-24-2006 09:48 PM

i got bigger guns than that.. russian ak-47 with five hundred shot banana clips loaded with cross-haired hollow points (shit will bust through 5 bullet proof vests stacked together) with a shell catcher and infrared beam just like the one you got but more accurate ;)

Nicky 03-24-2006 09:54 PM

Anthony! :) Was wondering when you would come in here :upsidedow

Wilson's are great 1911's. Really when you are at the 2 grand limit, for Wilson's, Black Hawk, Rock River, Ed Brown, et al. it is all customization.

At the end of the day, my $1400.00 Springfield Armory TRP Operator 1911A1 shoots just as great as my $2500.00 Ed Brown Kobra Karry.

If I had the choice I'd take a polymer gun to combat.

I carry 3 on and off, GLOCK 30 .45, H&K USP .40, Springfield Armory XD90

You cannot do this with a 1911A1, forget any one that is over a grand, as the tolerances are just to exact.

I had to break my Kimber Ultra CDP II out again, thinking of taking it out tomorrow and breaking a hundred outta her. :)

I got Wilson Combat Mags for it, best in the market imho. Took off the stock grips and replaced with Alumna Grips. Gives it even more of a harder look.

Every cop I know that carries a single action .45 keeps it cocked and locked in the holster.. I know thats how mine is when I carry. But the safty wasnt on in the pic so people freak. Since the gun was unloaded and not pointed at anyone wtf is wrong?? If you really want to bitch if the hammer was all the way against the firing pin it could discharge with a good wack on the hammer... That's why there is a mid position on most single action semi-autos. :2 cents:

Aaron knows how to handle firearms from what I see here.. Why all the hating? :helpme

I personally prefer the machined version over the stamped rifles anyday... As far as stopping power and the two they both fire the exact same round how can there be any difference? All the mods that can be done to an AK can be done to an SKS and most are cheaper to do thus more gun for your money. Not tryin to flame you, like I said we all have our opinions so lets just have a day at the range at the next Miami show, I know a great range. :thumbsup

And you can't fault my logic on the .45 issue... Sam Colt all the way! :pimp

God created man; Sam Cold made them equal; I will never doubt that! But let's be honest I'm not talking a stopping power difference between SKS and AK; it's accuracy. The AK is known for its resiliance not necisarily its accuracy; the SKS is not known for either. Its resiliance nor its accuracy. Which is my point. More bang for your buck doesn't really matter ;)
