    BIZ: Simple Tweaks

    Hi All ... It's amazing how some small tweaks to your site can make a major difference;

    For ages now we have had a Free join process where by the user creates an account and we encourage, cajole and bully them best we can into upgrading. A few weeks ago it occurred to me to introduce an 'upgrade reminder' page just after log-in showing off the benefits etc. To my amazement we've seen and maintained a 25% - 30% increase in new daily upgrades

    Such a simple idea I'm kicking myself for not doing it a long time ago

    Obviously there are a ton of simple ideas out there that can make a huge difference to all our bottom lines. So I would love to hear from anyone else with site structure or marketing or whatever tweaks that made a good impact for u ?

      Offering members an option to lower their rebill price by a couple bucks when they try cancelling their account.

        Ah, amen to that ... Paycom helped us out with that a while ago and it's definitely made a difference to retention.

        Another idea I've heard along the same lines is sites dropping their monthly charges per month to the member the longer they retain (obviously only down to X minimum) ... I wonder how well that work's for those who've tried it ?

          Seems to me that if a member that really likes the site and wants to stay a member, isn't going to notice a lower rebill price since the content is obviously worth it to them. Maybe do it for just the 1st month? And for the one's that just forgot to cancel, might as well bill them at full price.
