And the intelligent remark was to show my amazement at how people I've always considered to be very inteligent watch TV shows that appear to be made for retards. I can't watch 1 second of Reality TV. What the hell do I care about the lifes of a feew jerks I don't even know.

I just find most reality tv to be very cheap entertainment. It's ok to relax and not think about shit, but not by watching shit!?!?! Take the Big Brother shows for example. How fucking sick is that? If half the people who watch that show knew where Big Brother originated from and what it really meant they would be... well they probably wouldn't even care.

Chris is my favorite to win... He's the only one with a defined style... I hate it that the rest try to sing the songs like the original singer instead of how they would sing it... he's the only one that I can see performing the rest of them except taylor hicks and mandisa dont give us any indication as to who they really are and why we would love to go see them in concert...

Ok, so maybe you didn't come right out and call anyone a dumbass, but your comment sure made me feel like you were implying it. In any event though, I am curious as to what types of tv shows you would consider 'intelligent' enough to get your viewing attention. Don't get me wrong, I also like shows that make me think or teach me things or just give me basic info that I didn't know before - but sometimes I just like to veg out and watch shows that have no bearing on anything, but just provide me with mindless entertainment. :)

I almost never watch shows that make me think. Actually, only chanells like Discovery, History Chanell and Animal Planet have the only informative TV shows I like. I'm not saying you shouldn0t watch reality TV because it's not intelligent, I'm saying not to watch it because it's unoriginal, repetetive, sick, perverse, and made by big corporation who don't want to spend money on writers and real actors. Believe me, I know I'm in the minority.

We like Chris a lot as a singer, but he annoyed us this week when he sang Walk the Line and didn't credit where he got that creative arrangement from. Check out Live's "Awake: The Best of Live" and their last song is a version of Walk the Line that's almost identical to Chris's from this week. He did a similar deal with Red Hot Chili Peppers the week before, we were just waiting for him to give credit this week like he did then. Who knows if he mentioned it with Barry Manilow though and it got edited out. He sounded great singing it though!

My wife picked McPhee and Chris as the final two, with McPhee winning it due to her versatility.

i just read this (about Chris being offered to be the lead singer of FUEL)..

i wanna know exactly what that means. Say he doesnt win Idol, he's still bound by contract? To do what? (or not to do what?) Weird.

If I'm not mistaken, they are bound to a two-year contract with Idol. Constantine had to sign off on his band before he auditioned, I remember hearing him talk about it. If his band was signed to a contract and he was part of the band, he'd be violating his Idol contract. Remember, the Top 10 are under contract after the show ends to do a tour, plus don't they make an album? I'd be curious how much they're paid for the tour and album.

I like Mandisa and don't think her weight will interfere, after all Ruben was a big fat guy and got voted #1.

They all rock in their genre but outside, they falter. Bucky has a halfway decent voice and turns my crank, but outside of country he can't really carry a tune. Chris is a great rock singer with an amazing voice, but how will he do with a ballads or show tunes? You can't turn every song into a rock song.

Taylor is having a blast and has a good following so I'd expect him to do well after the show if he doesn't win. Elliot isn't consistent. I don't like Katharine, not sure why not. I thought Lisa Tucker was at the top but lately she's choosing the wrong songs.

I'd like to see Taylor, Chris and Mandisa in the top 3.

Kelly is grating on my nerves with her cutesy poo act. "What is a ballsy". Did the girl ever read a book or watch a television show, other than Hee Haw?

You forgot to say in your opinion. Stating such a ripping opinion as if it were fact is pretty presumptuous of you.

Fact is, quite a few million people out there disagree with you, including me. I think McPhee's got a fantastic voice, gorgeous face and hair, gorgeous eyes, sexy lips, an incredible smile that transforms into a killer smoldering look, she has a nice rack and a great body.

Her, Pickler and Mandiza will go far and have a shot at the title. For the guys it's definitely that Chris guy, and the dude with the grey hair. There's another guy in there too, that youngish pretty boy dude. If he steps up his singing game he might have a shot too.

Well, damn. I didn't know that. And, it doesn't seem as if the judges were aware of that little tidbit, either.

I think McPhee is going to win, also.....and, in spite of Chris' faux pas, I think he will have a career as a rocker. I guess this kind of thing happens all the time in every industry.....but, it does kind of colour my opinion of Chris now.

Unfortunately, I AM serious, because she appeals to the 35 million voters....not those of us who are more discerning. My fave is Mandisa....that girl has a great voice....But, I do think McPhee will win.....

Talent competitions have been around for a long time. This beats the hell out of The Gong Show... although a lot of the people in the auditions would have been right at home.

I like music. I like listening to Kellie Pickler's Gomer Pyle accent and laughing at everything she says. By the way, she gave an awesome performance on Tuesday's show. You didn't watch it, did you?

I really don't think Kelly is dumb.. She's just a naive little country gal that speaks from the heart.. She says what she says.. Kinda like Dolly Parton.. and Dolly is smart as a whip.. and quite a bidness women ..

I don't think he will win it but I think he will be the one to sell the most albums out of everyone on the show.

I think either Mandisa, or the guy with the bad teeth, I can't remember his name. He said he wants veneers. If he wins I am sure that is the first thing he will do. haha Anyway, I think it will be between both of them.
