Stocks are killing me.

ORCL went as low as 8.88 a share today.
I thought 16 was a good buy.

Fuck never try and catch a falling knife.

Software stocks are market dogs, and they have been for 2 years.
Just when you think it cant get any worse, and hit bottom it sinks even more.

CSCO also a mut.
All tech is just pure shit.

Oddly enough the food industry has been striving and it seems most of the former tech investors have moved thier money into food stocks like changs, cheesecake factory, and even YUM.

WTF?
I guees the moral of the story is, invest where everyone else is, invest with the latest fad.

Internet was in, then went out.
Then mirco ship was in then out
Now software in now out.

Just like fashon, dont get caught wearing plad shirts and striped socks when the fashon ends or you'll be down 200k in 6 months.

Don't buy stocks if you will need the money in less than 3 or 4 years.

How on earth did you end up with Ericsson stocks? They cuted like half their staff last year and have been going downhill for a longtime. Now they are cutting again, could be a looooooooong time befor those stocks rise again. Not even the sony merge bumped it much

Yeah, you would think that would work, but I am here to say it does not.

Invested in GTE for 25 years, had over $100,000, with great dividends that you could count on. Then the fuckers decided to merge with Bell Atlantic to form Verizon. Value now . . . . about $40,000

Nothing inaccurate about it.

If you know you're going to need certain money in the next 3 or 4 years, don't invest it in stocks. Find something else.

People think stocks are supercharged CD's which they're not. Used properly, a stock portfolio is the only way to reach your long term financial goals.

Utilized improperly, including buying stocks with money needed in the short term, it's retarded. You might as well go bet on Monday Night Football.

If you have money to piss away and don't mind the risks, then yea...that's fine. If you have money you NEED (college tuitition fora child in 3 years, etc), find something else to do with it.

Call me a pansy but I like bonds, GIC's, and long term investments.
There is no chance to get rich, but you will never lose money either.

For every person who sinks 10K into a stock and walks away with 100K 5 years later, you seem to find 10 people in the opposite situation, who invest alot of money and the stock goes to pot.

Just put 10% of your income into some safe investment and the interest will slowly grow.

Or maybe 5% into something safe, and 5% in the risky stuff is you like.
I just think its crazy to invest everything in stocks cause they can do very well, then drop to nothing over night.

ur suppose to diversify. if their price dropped that much their fundamentals were not very good. wireless companies carry a lot of debt and do some wacky accounting.
