So my plane had to make an emergency landing in New Foundland

I just got into Germany today, 5 hours later than I was supposed to, because a pregnant lady went into labor on the flight and we had to fly 3 hours out of the way, land in New Foundland, wait an hour for them to refuel and let the brakes cool down before we could leave.

HAHA, yeah, believe me there is NOTHING in New Foundland.

I don't know why they let her on, they said she had a doctors note saying she was O.K. to fly, but an hour into the flight they asked if there was any doctors onboard, and I knew right then we were going to be making a stop before Frankfurt. I think her boyfriend or husband or whoever was in teh military, he looked military and I guess he had to be back, but I dunno.

Someone said she was 6 months, but she had the baby because before we took off again they came over the speaker and said that she had it, and they were both doing fine. So I guess it did have a good ending even though it was a hell of a pain in the ass.

I always wondered how they handled medical emergencies. I suppose its on a case by case basis. Really, it could have been a perfectly healthy person having a stroke... you never know when an emergency may happen.

lol... it's actually Newfoundland... ( one word )

Hey Bob now you can have the satisfaction of knowing someone who was born there... actually i know a big program owner who was also born there, not far from me.

it's a very beautiful place. Very cold in the winter months but spring and summer are great.

True, it was weird because we landed, everyone seemed to take their time getting to her, then she walked off the plane on her own. But they had her on oxygen and hooked to an I.V. It was odd.

6x4 =s 24 weeks I doubt this baby was 6 months old. She was probably at least 7 or more. Fetal viability is usually 25 weeks or more.

If the lady successfully gave birth right in that plane, then that's a good thing for the airline company.
