You probably saw yourself in that movie - any one of the dummies watching TV and not thinking about what it said.

Dude wtf is your problem, its a MOVIE not real life, I dont appreciate you assuming Im some mindless idiot because I didnt find the movie entertaining or even worth my $12 bucks. It was filled with offkey moments that had barely meaning in the story itself, why the hell did he play that folk song right after EV was standing in the rain? That didnt make any fucking sense at all, and did you count how many times they said the word bollocks in that film? That whole introduction of himself to EV while he used all those V words was the lamest speech I ever heard. The government wasnt even scary for christs sake, the 'leader' looked like a fucking nerd with a wig. Dude come on it was an OK movie at best, this one could easily have waited for DVD seriously. Again you put way too much meaning into this film, go watch Fahrenheit 911 again.

If you pay $12 to see a movie, you are not a mindless idiot, you are a pennyless idiot.

Splum at the end of the day, you went looking for the matrix or something else, and when presented with a movie that challenged your imagination a little bit, you instead focused on nitpick points rather than looking at the concept and the execution.

I have a suggestion for you: Don't see first weekend movies. First run movies require a very open mind.

I saw this movie last night. While I think it was worth seeing once, I'd never own it on DVD. Just a bit too odd for me.

I'm not sure if this movie is about a "terrorist" in the tradiational sense. He surely didn't kill anyone who was innocent.

If you haven't seen this movie then don't waste your money. I do find it ironic that the film takes place in futuristic England (after the U.S. self destructs) and is served a heaping dose of "liberty through terrorism" by a dude dressed up like a French martyr. What is this world coming to?!?!?

If I had 4 hands I would give it 4 thumbs down.
Thanks for your advice, dude.

Funny how a lot of you guys show displeasment with the film, but yet obviously didn't even come close to understanding the story. Ebert was right, thumbs up.

I haven't seen the movie but so far most critics are complaining about it being repleted with political statements.

Was there a scene were Hugo Weaving appears without the mask? I have noticed he has been less credited in the promotion

Nope not really, he still has a disguise even when he went once unmasked. I gotta say he did a horrible job, I found the V character awkward and boring. Natalie on the other hand did a great job, I felt for her character much more.

What the fuck is 'displeasment'??? Is that a word? That totally just fucked me up.

Yeah I'm sure they'll love the movie in Europe. I think they sell booze at theatres there.

Well hush mah mouth and call me cornpone! This movie brought in over $2 million each day Monday and Tuesday. That's an indicator that it still has juice and could be #1 this weekend again. With numbers like that it's a good bet to be a hit.
