Let's replace the handshake with the wave hello.
Shaking hands is such a disgusting habit, you have no idea where the other person's hand has been before it touches you. Every time I go to a convention or other public function that involves shaking a lot of hands, I get a nasty flu/cold virus, and I'm a compulsive hand washer that washes my hands constantly.
I say, as a society, we replace shaking hands with a casual wave hello in the direction of the person we're greeting. The wave hello will also be a time saver as you don't have to wait in line to shake hands when meeting a group of people, everyon just waves at the same time. |

There is a theory that says too much antibacterial soap creates super bacteria, but I think it's more likely that I'm shaking hands with average slobs that don't know how to wash their hands after they use the bathroom or sneeze.

It doesn't make "superbacteria", it lowers the body's natural immunity/defense. Why should the body work if you have a drug that does it for you ![]() |

A national legislation should be passed regarding the prohibition of handshakes. This is very alarming!

Shaking hands is a relic that goes back to when people didn't know what bacteria was. People know better now but we still do it. It doesn't make sense.

The reason you get sick is because your body isn't used to fighting off germs due to your heavy soap usage. Ease off on the soap, that much isn't good for your body.
