If it makes you feel any better.. I was their host for over a year and they always paid their bills. If the work was completed to their satisfaction, I am sure they will pay the bill.

Bill is in the hospital.
This is a very difficult time for them.

This does not sound like you have been owed money for any length of time.
Give them a chance to recover....

That's all well and good, but now this guy is put in a bind because of it...and that shouldn't be the case.

Designers get shafted like this all time. And to be honest, the hospital excuse is something I've heard more than once.

They had time to change their ftp info, someone could have found time to pay me.

I hear this all the time - really sorry for whats going on - hospital or not - there is no excuse for blowing someone off like this. If i was faced with hosptial I would have the decency to make sure that someone looked after my bills etc. Wonder if hydro - bell and water people will forget about the bill and take being sick as an excuse and wait.

They are a managed hosting client and moved hosts to CamZ network, Bill had nothing to do with his FTP info changing. I know this because they used to be my client for a long period of time.

If dustman and his wife say he's in the hospital then it is true and credible. Nonetheless, I hope that your issue is resolved soon.

The ftp login was fine this morning and they had switched over to Camz since I started doing the work. It was changed so I would not take the tgp galleries down I did not get paid for.

Sometimes people temporarily act a little wacky when hospital stuff is involved. Hopefully she comes back to her senses when things settle down on their end. None the less it is very frustrating from your end, we all know that.

I received an e-mail telling me to give her a call but she gave her me her sick husbands number not hers. She would e-mail me or text message me telling me she would take care of it the next day but never did. Don't tell me something you have no plans on doing in the first place.

well quite honestly two weeks in this business is not alot - my wife is a designer and sometimes it takes longer to get her money. Sadly designers are not on a priority high when it comes to paying since their services are complete and most think they can hold off for a few days/weeks to get paid - unlike other more demanding payments.

sadly you have fallen into the category of 2nd bill pile. You more than likley will get paid though it does suck when you dont get the respect and treatment as someone more "important" to a company. I have seen it all the time in my 10 years of this business. It sucks - be a bit more patient.

I was putting the templates up and submitting them and getting paid by the week. So I figured that is why she kept saying she would take care of it tomorrow so I would keep the traffic moving to the site.

I do wish now that I held off for a while but I can't take it back now. After receiving that text message I got really pissed.
