CANADIANS --- bank wire transfer question
Hey guys,
I'm just interested in knowing what are the charges that CIBC imposes on receiving wire transfers? Anyone know? I've never gotten a wire before, so I dunno if they are gonna take away a huge chunk of it

BMO charges a $14 handling fee for incoming wires. So does Royal Bank.

Where the banks often ding you the most is if you receive a US dollar wire into a Canadian dollar account --- you'll get a non-competitive exchange rate. Make sure you open a US dollar account for US wires.
