What kind of Freudian slip did I make ????? I meant *female Hugh Hefner* with the pajama's...and he has a very nice wardrobe for outside the Mansion activities.

Female Hugh Hefner.....surrounded by buff play boys. I'm down for that.

tristan_D 03-13-2006 02:09 AM

buy clothes that are a bit larger. that's what my sister does to her kids who grew up very fast

Teodora 03-13-2006 02:26 AM

are u putting on weight constantly? don't cause later u won't be able to get rid of it... actually i know a very good diet, my friend and my sister and a lot of other people was successful with it. And the most important thing that u are not starving while u're doing it and the result comes very suddenly!

Bob_cougar 03-13-2006 04:15 AM

that's the downside of weight-loss or waight-gain... one has to do away with his/her old clothes.

perhaps, that's the reason im not into weight-loss programs lately.

SkyWalker2k 03-13-2006 06:09 AM

hope I can get my act together to loose some weight soon :D

CDSmith 03-13-2006 06:59 AM

Solution: wear sweats. Once you're at your target size/weight then you buy new clothes.

Sweats are stretchy, comfortable, and if you work from home then what the hell, they're just the ticket.

Go velvet like George Costanza.

Raven 03-13-2006 08:02 AM

CD. All I wear are work out clothes....sweat kinda.....these are breathable so I don't chafe....for an every day solution, I've got that one down. Guess I should have mentioned that part.

I travel. Can't wear workout clothes to Phoenix. It's HOT there. or MIAMI. It's only fit for gills.

Teodora. I am losing weight at a pound a week. Have lost 60 pounds since May, 2005. While I'm thrilled at finally getting to be me again, I change clothing sizes. Read the first post of the thread....

you should be proud that your shirt size is changing. how many pounds have you gained and lost this month?

This month? Well, it's only the 13th or so, so two so far...pound a week. It's the weight training and resistance training that changes my body shape.....and, believe me I am proud. It's just a pain in the ass when buying clothes and being a material girl.

I love sweats...wear them all the time. Won't work for Phoenix, CD.

Gnat69 03-14-2006 08:21 AM

Raven, try and look for companies like this one: http://www.winners.ca/en/index.asp

I don't know if you have these stores where you are but I shop here all the time and this is the only way that I am able to afford designer stuff, but if you come and visit me I will be more than happy to shop with ya...hehe

Raven 03-14-2006 08:26 AM

Thanks, Gnat..you always come through for me.

And, in return, everyone go here: http://nattillyattired.com/. Good stuff for your body. :)

I was talking about around the house/everyday wear. Phoenix sounds like a baggy tshirt and shorts is in order.

The shirt should say "under construction" on it. :D

Good for you hun! :thumbsup I'm also working out everyday and eating healthy! My goal isn't to lose weight, but I'm happy I am I've dropped 4 pounds just last week (Mostly water) maybe you should wait to go shopping until you've reached your goal...That's what I like to do....Or else we would be bankrupt....lol :1orglaugh I loooooooooooooooooooove shopping!

candyflip 03-14-2006 08:54 AM

I have a friend with the same issue.

She says that Kohl's has become her favorite place to shop.

It was just this month that she found out she's not able to shop in places like Lane Bryant because she's finally "too small" for their threads.

Where are the best places to shop in the NorthWest, that has name/designer brands....petite, of course....?

Beauty is a blessing and a curse at the same time....

CD? You always did come up with some brilliantly simple solutions. I like the 'under construction' or maybe 'work in progress' tee shirt.

FB? I've become a work out junkie....maybe you will, too..and good luck to you, too..it's hard.....it's the only healthy obsession I've ever had. :)
Well, thing is...I won't go nekkid, so I need clothes that aren't falling off of me. :)

candyflip - Kohl's is coming to my area. It's just not here yet. Good for your friend. I have a real hate on for Lane Bryant. With them, you're only allowed to be fat AND tall. No such thing as short and fat.

Mr. Romance - I don't know about the beauty part. I try to be clever so people don't notice I'm not beautiful....:)

That's her problem too. She's a shorty.

Try getting some yoga clothes for Phoenix -- they're light enough that even if it's hot, you shouldn't hate life. Lulu, Prana, most of the stuff at titlenine.com will work days without making you crazy. And they've got enough stretch in them that you can get away without a perfect fit.

I'd get a couple pairs of jeans for night in Phx, and maybe one great outfit for a dress up evening.

GlydeGirl 03-14-2006 10:37 AM

Congrats everyone who is getting fitter and healthier! I'm part of the club too.
