Glad someone started this post. The shaving in this industry has started to get more noticeable. Some sponsors make it so blatant that it is almost funny...
That's why FREE CONTENT is not really free.... We are indeed paying for it.
I think at some point a sponsor with balls will start a smaller scale or different payout system that works for them without shaving and the word will get out. I would much rather make less per sale but really know what the true stats are. It would take one of the larger companies to start on this though...
I agree that the best strategy is to move towards starting and promoting your own sites. It can be done on smaller levels and you can still make pretty good bank. Then you will also see what the real deal is with your traffic...Comment

Jesus guys. No one is shaving you. Unless you have solid proof that you're being shaved, you can't accuse an honest sponsor like topbucks of shaving.
You may think you're being shaved because your sales are lower than maybe a few months ago, but it's because the traffic you're sending to that sponsor isn't converting as good as it used to.
Also lets not forget scrubbing. Your sponsors probably doesn't shave, but the processors must scrub in order to keep the chargebacks below 1 percent.Comment

noshit, if you don´t have the guts to mention his two partners (serge and scott philips) and also have now idea what really happened at clickermint, you better shut the fuck up here, robmac is one of the most honest guys I have ever met in my whole life. he was the one that originated the 100% programs, but he had no control of the program itself ... and when he got kicked out of clickermint he was doing CE´s webmaster support for a short period of time, do you honestly think FM would employ a blantant cheater ??

hmmm most sponsors shave, even some third party processors like CTC....but above all all credit card processors are weebing out a big percentage of foreign and us credit cards randomly...
the problem with this practise is that the guy willing to pay memberships and being refused will not try to join any site again in 90% of case.....
also the refusals are totally random....
most of time i take out my visa to take a trial to sites i advertise
with CCbill its 2 out of ten times that i'm refused
with Globill its 4 out of ten times
and the winner is IBILL wich refuses my card 8 out of ten tries
my card is a valid visa international and i never had any problems with it exept on the internet all the time on porn sites....i have a 2000$ under 0 authorisation so there is absolutely no way for my bank to refuse a transaction...exept for the automatic billings like my host who knows they have to bill me after the 10th of everymonth...

no one ever needs to join a paysite if they know how to surf. we're lucky ANYONE pulls out a CC any more. Conversions are down. I doubt very seriously that anyone reputable shaves. (my reputable list will be different from yours I'm sure) I send traffic to a site that I know doesn't shave because its run by my friend
I see very wide signup swings and doughts there just like the rest of you.
