I've been running http://www.cleantgp.org for a fortnight and a bit (15 days) now, and my current signup ratio is at 0:119. Can anybody offer advice/personal experience as to what the average signup ratio is until you get your first signup, and is it true that part of the reason for not having a signup yet is the "summer slowdown"?
What's the average signup ratio for a TGP?

Testpie,
As a fan of bouncing from one tgp to the next , after looking at yours, the one big difference I notice is that all of your thumbs look stretched. They don't look like they were resized properly and it hurts the eyes. If they were resized to proper dimensions, you probably would get more signups because the pictures you have chosen look interesting.Comment

Thanks for the advice - a lot of other people have said the same thing too. I'm looking at recoding the PHP function i wrote that causes the problem to hopefully fix it.Originally posted by Secret IdentityTestpie,

I know - but i don't particularly feel like hand-cropping and resizing 862 imagesOriginally posted by darxoultestpie, there are some programs (for Windows) that allows you to make thumbs easily... and they respect the proportions of the picture, search in downloads.com for the term "thumb" and check them out

Get a professional TGP script like AutoGallery Pro. If you have GD installed, then you can use the Gallery Scanner to automatically create thumbnails in a batch mode. If you don't like an auto generated thumbnail, you can pick and crop one of the gallery pics through the admin and do it all online. The script is $55 and is better than sitting around writting your own php code to manage your TGP.Originally posted by testpieI know - but i don't particularly feel like hand-cropping and resizing 862 images
