Which is fast.. but given the size of the universe it's still not fast enough.

It would take 10 years traveling at that speed just to reach the nearest stars. Probably 100,000 years just to reach the nearest galaxies.

And thats going almost 186000 miles/sec

This is the same reason I don't believe in alien UFOs visiting earth.

There is no sense in traveling from point A to point B at these distances.

They would need the ability to warp or reverse time just to concur it.

It doesn't look promising - but then again who knows what could happen and what they can figure out

that's the key phrase, "who knows what could happen and what they can figure out". I don't know enough about physics - but it only takes one sob to come up with another equation that alters the original. Looking at scientists over 100 years ago they would say physics simply wouldn't allow for many of the things we are doing today. I have hope.

Thats what I meant by "warping"

But still.. I don't see it

wormholes are a theory that lay heavily towards fiction

It was only a few years ago that scientists discovered how bees could fly - before then it was thought to be aerodynamically impossible. Fortunately no-one told the bees.

Lets not forget the "It doesn't look to promising part" :)

Sure 200 years ago we were traveling on horses and now we have jets that break the sound barrior.. but this is a whole new monster

I think the odds are better that we will blow ourselves up, die of some massive plague or get hit by some asteroid before we achieve the required technology.

Thats if it's even possible.

GlydeGirl 03-09-2006 03:18 PM

We are not alone.

Einstein has a lock on this theory of relativity thing though

It's been tested and utilized many times

I don't pretend to know everything about it, but every creditable thing I've read/seen about wormholes doesn't favour the idea as probable reality.

Told you guys this big NASA story was about as important as asking yourself if you have an asshole or not.

Makes ya wonder if we're the asshat retards of the galaxy or something.

I don't know what the big deal is with the possibility of some form of life out there somewhere...

The odds of there being life in our solar system are pretty good...

Too many people think of life on other planets as some exaggerated version of us..

Life could be in any form.. that doesn't come anywhere near our resemblence..
