The RAZR will plug into your PC with a standard USB cable, then you can use Moble Phone Tools to upload any MP3 into it as your ring tone. Free.

I have the V3i and its perfectly fine. Too loud infact. I'm upstairs in my office and its downstairs bleeping to tell me I have a missed call and I can hear it fine.

I also heard it ringing but couldn't be bothered going to answer it.

I have the razor, connected the phone to my pc and transferred a ringtone from my pc (the theme from kill bill) works great

Have the RAZR V3x. Has loads of ring tones (no simple rings unfortunately) and volume but the phone is crap.

I have the razr and use the stock ring tone, works fine and I can hear it just perfect.
If you get addicted, just claim its a sickness and start a religious organization to cure this sickness, then the Bush admin will give you money.
