Everyone complains about the $35 fee, but if they didn't charge that then russian scammers would be opening tons of anonymous accounts to rip people off and then you'd all be bitching about that too.
If you can't afford $35 every two years then you're in the wrong business, $17.50/year for an offshore bank account with instant online transfers is a hell of a deal. |

You don't think that "Russian scammers" can afford $35? |
Sorry Keyzer, no offense to you or anyone, but people are generally tired of fees for every little thing, but especially where banking is concerned. The major banks have all instituted little fees for just about everything..... you write too many cheques in a month -- fee. You use another bank's ATM to make a cash withdrawal -- fee. At some banks if you want to actually deal with a real live teller, guess what? --- FEE.
But one thing I do know is, I deal with two banks locally, and have on occasion needed to get my ATM cards replaced. One was lost a few years ago, the other one wore out. Neither one charged me any kind of fee for replacement. "Rules are rules" as you said, but some rules are just plain wrong, some are even outrageous. Rules can be changed. As far as customer support goes, many customers are frustrated when they call, many will come across as dicks, that's a given. What's not a given is to get great customer support and problem-solving in the face of attitude. The question is, does the company want to be perceived as being one that goes above and beyond expectations?... or is it happy to tell angry frustrated customers to "deal with it, rules are rules"? Cheers. |
how can i raise my withdraw limited? from $520 per day to $800 or$1k per/day

Limits are raised on case by case basis depending on your current balance and the type of account you have. |
nothing changes the fact that ePassportes heart lies in their wallets.
to pay another $35 for something that you issued me and it failed, is just absurd. |
I have been using epass for over a year, and had only one issue. It was a web issue, and solved really fast.
Other than that. No complaints from me. |

i'm paying $35 a year (and per card, essentially) so that i can get charged a $2 fee everytime i wanna take a (maxium daily limit) via an atm, not to mention getting charged $1.50 fee for the bank at which the atm is at. sounds like we're getting bent over for fee after fee. |

Oh, I know that epassporte needs to make money, but $35 for a card that costs mayber $1.00 to make? Hell, with the 2 banks that I deal with I can get a replacement card at anytime and for free. Ya, I pay a fee to take money out with my normal bank debit card.. $1.50 Canadian to be exact. All I'm saying is that this card is not worth anywhere close to the $35 epassporte charges its users/clients. I have the new card and they may look better than the old ones, but they are still the same quality pretty much. What I think many people want to know is how does epassporte justify charging people $35 for a piece of plastic that once it expires they have to pay that $35 again.. If they lose if, they pay. If they break it, they pay. If they card gets worn out, they pay. so the electron card costs $30 and the virtual card which is nothing but an imaginary thing costs $5.. So, ya, with those fees alone epassporte makes a fortune. A ONE time $35 fee would be more reasonable. How much $ would epassporte lose if they issued free cards? Next to nothing is what they would lose. I'm not bashing epassporte in any way. I like epassporte, but I just think that these fees are ridiculous. Lets look at things for a sec. 1. ePassporte card - $35 (and you must pay this every year. lose your card you pay again etc..) bank card - free (never pay to get a replacement) 2. Cost to take $ out at an ATM using ePassporte electron - $2.00 Cost to take $ out with my bank debit (with naks I deal with) - $1.50 Canadian the .25 cent transfer fee is no big deal.. I mean, it's only 25 cents lol |
nevertheless, I will keep using epassporte.
