It was a little disjointed with several story lines going on at once, I'll give you that. The best movie this year that tried to intersect several stories into one overall plot was Crash. Magnificent movie making IMO. See it if you haven't already. Talk about a make you think picture.

Come on or common? If this is any indication of your movie absorption capacity, March of the Penguins is more your speed I think.

I must agree, it wasn't that great, it looked good in the commercials, but the actual move was a dissipointment...

Syriana is a caustic and cynical political thriller with a plot that occasionally confuses but a message that leaves no room for misinterpretation

i rather liked the movie - if ur at all affected by Oil Prices (everyone) .. the movie really paints a good picture as to why things are the way they are. Also very cool to see some of the truths regarding conflicts and occupation in the middle east, and alot of the shady dealings regarding Oil Companies.

This was an excellent movie. I think your mind leaves room for little challenge when it comes to understanding a story.

here's a supporting statement for gangbangjoe's argument:

This isnhahaha8217;t to say that hahaha8220;Syrianahahaha8221; isnhahaha8217;t a historically significant film, or that it wonhahaha8217;t enjoy its share of praise come award time, but ithahaha8217;s just not the same movie that everyone was expecting. The filmmakerhahaha8217;s decision not to include a concrete ending was a wise one, since the international war for oil is far from over, but the omission of any real story was a horrible mistake. The five separate narratives struggle throughout the strenuous two-hour runtime to amass a single idea, when they would have accomplished so much more on their own. The result is an exercise in patience on the viewerhahaha8217;s part. In fact, try sitting through hahaha8220;Syrianahahaha8221; without counting the number of times youhahaha8217;ve shifted in your seat out of boredom, and you might just be one of few people that actually enjoyed this political parade of nonsense.
