I don't understand the purpose of having a reserve instead of a minimum bid.
We spend about $200k a year on domains and I'm interested in the domain but having undisclosed reserves just strikes me as "playing games". If you want $20k for it, anybody who can afford a domain at $20k would not be put off by that asking price. JMHO |
DHB you are a dreamer, that is all. If the domain is so wonderful develop it and it still won't sell for $50,000. :1orglaugh

There is no game playing. Just bid what it is worth. If it makes you feel any better, the numbers you are throwing out aren't far off. ;) |
BTW, I enjoy Quick Buck. It's a good program.
I especially like your MILF site. CaliforniaCoeds.com would be a great addition to your fine stable of sites. |

you $400 for foot porn. :rasta |
Only 2 hours left in the eBay auction.
|
Bump for DH.

It might be wise to make a softcore porn site like Girls Gone Wild. GGW's positioning of itself just shy of hardcore has helped it get alot of mainstream media attention, including its omnipresent late night TV ads.
You rake it in.. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |

I'll keep that in mind. Let's chat sometime anyways. :) |
Now there's less than 1 hour left in the eBay auction!
!! If you want this domain, it's time to pull IT out and slap IT on the table: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5874556729 ;) |

Bumps for the coeds. :GFYBand

By the way, I bid on this auction and immediately after the auction ended I got a storm of mail with other domain for sale offers. I am pretty sure tha the only person with access to message bidders is the seller.
You would not know anything about this would you Daddy? |

LOL anyhow, while you are reading this DHB, what do you do with your traffic domains while you are waiting on a buyer? If you have any dating / adult related ones with traffic I might have something for you that works out a lot better than those parked pages.
That goes for anyone btw. |

Just like I said, $500 to $1,000. The highest bid was $1,025. Looks like I was right on the money, Mister "I have 20,000 domains and know the market better than you and think this is a mid 5 figure to low 6 figure domain". Reality hittin' you yet? |
1. I don't send spam. Lookup the owner of the domain that the spammer offered you. All my domains are registered in the real name of my company. If the WhoIs doesn't say my company's name, that domain isn't ours. Period.
2. I don't shill. Never have, never will. 3. Some of my pages may be weak on design, but that ain't a crime. I am always open to new ideas and suggestions. I am working with a new designer, and I have a big stack of work. If you have a shred of evidence to support these absolutely absurd accusations, post away. If not, then STFU! :( |

Not hittin' even close. You are way way way off. You are in the other county. The best example of how far off you are...is your METHOD of valuation. Valuation by comparable sale requires 2 parties, in an arm's length transaction, to conclude a transaction (a sale). To refresh you: the seller (me) never accepted the high bid, which never reached the pre-set reserve. Your method of valuation is totally wacky. For an extreme example: if I make an offer of $100 for your house, it doesn't mean your house is only worth only a hundred bucks. It only means that someone OFFERED such an amount --which doesn't mean much. Now, the good news. The auction did whip up alot of interest. I am negotiating now with a few companies. :) |

You were 100% accurate on this one, Donny! I was agreeing with you on page 1 and didn't click the link yet... I click the link and see that it is as you fortold.. Good work To the seller, you are high man! There is a BIG difference between dirtbike.com and californiacoeds.com... One is instantly brandable in mainstream markets... Newspaper, TV, radio... The other is not. So it is not worth more than $2000 tops... |

Sorry, I was just asking if they had Value.... I will not sell that one, for less than what he "wanted" for the coed name... |

Wow is all I can say. |
damn you have itsallbs.com for buy it now 20 million. where do you get your numbers from
|
2. I don't shill. Never have, never will.
Are you sure you didn't use to offer a "seed" bid at afternic for your listed domain names . . . years ago (before you knew better)? |

I own AthletesFootPorn.com and will not accept less than twice what he wants for the coed name! Thanks! |

180 degrees --wrong. Descriptive phrases domains like "dirt bike" are the exact definition of what is NOT brandable. You are confusing "descriptive" and "distinctive." The USPTO would be very hard pressed to grant a company a TM for "automobile." Yet, "Toyota" is trademarked. Do you really think that only the owner of that "dirtbike.com" domain (and not the other 100,000 bike and sports shops across the world who have been using it continuously for the last 20 years) would be allowed the exclusive use of the "brand" called "DIRT BIKE?!" What are ya smokin there, Brother? To completely contradict you, not only is "California Coeds" potentially brandable, it is also alliterative, a big plus. Now, the kicker. What are you gonna sell on "DirtBike.com?" Check out the site, it is obvious THEY have no clue. It's only a cookie cutter PPC web site. LOL. Are you gonna invent a StarTrek like machine that allows surfers to download a dirt bike over the internet? Downloading softcore porn images of frolicking coeds on the California beach has no such technological limitation. ;) |
DaddyHalbucks,
The bids in your auction should have opened your eyes. That didn't happen. I see you are still smoking something illegal. After you've gone and completed rehab let us know. - Donny - |

I was going to predict that it *might* break 4 figures on ebay, and it just barely did. You can get more elsewhere, but certainly not what you are looking for.
The name would look good on a DVD box cover, but it's just not a really great domain name that is worth $30,000. You see this a lot. Above average domains owned by starry-eyed people who think they've struck gold. Of course, they still have the domain 5 years later. The dirtbike.com example... That or dirtbikes.com is the master domain for dirtbikes. So that in itself is the brand. No, you can not brand "dirtbike," but you can brand "dirtbike.com." A developer who was serious about such a content driven site would have no problem finding advertisers. That sport is huge. |
