PLS help: windows 200 won't boot
Hi,
I just turn my PC on, and windows 2000 stops at the openingsscreen. It simply won't go further, and I see all blocks and striped in stead of the normal windows 2000 Logo. (it's not my vga card No I have an Ghost image, so I thought I just put that one back. But that didn't help. No I formatted C and installed windows 98, that works, but when I put an ghost back, doesn;t matter which one(from last week, last month etc) windows 2000 won't boot good again. DAMN, do you ppl have any idea what to do? Maybe a bad sector or so? Windows 98 sections control crashes as well. Is it a good idea to install partition magic 7 and make c:\ very small. Just enough to install the ghost back. SO the change is smaller to have the bad sector on that new C? All suggestions are welcome pls help... Thnx Andre

your ghost image is corrupt.. and im guessing maybe your hardware config has changed since you last ghosted the machine.
Next time you make a ghost image run sysprep on the machine so when the image comes down it will go through the hardware detection process again. |
