Regarding the ICQ issue... heck, well all send out mass ICQs to our friends, family and clients when we have something exciting to announce. We all know that ICQ and Trillian screw up sometimes. Everything else, well, I wasn't paying enough attention.

I had the pleasure of meeting TexasDreams in this thread http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=578467 where I learned that my 240x60 banner was too big... for the last several years that I've been an advertiser... apparently. I didn't mind sparring with him in the thread, I just thought that his approach was more than a little rough around the edges. However, sometimes thats what makes GFY fun. It was even funnier when he started deleting the signatures of the people that came into the thread that were friendly to me. LOL

I think they are trying to do a good job..Desicions will never be popular with everybody.Perhaps a cooling off period was warranted.I wish they would ban the "see sig" and 2 smilie posts though.That shit is useless and annoying as hell and the only reason why people do it is just to get their sig in a thread.

Who knows who has the ability to delete posts around here or not? I've had people say some pretty nasty things to me before, personally or about business, and I have never asked anyone to delete a thread. Other than Eric, I wouldn't have any idea who handles that sort of thing.

Goddamn, I am gone for about a month, and when i come back i see headless banned, alien banned, new mods, some fucking pain in the ass skin when ya first open the board, and everyone at each others throats... i been spending the last hour reading all the threads pertaining to all of this... crazy stuff...

i like headless, i find him a bit entertaining at times (those of you who are going to flame with a comment about being easily entertained can go ahead and fuck off now)... i like jimthefiends posts too... he seems kinda crazy, but thats part of what i like about 'em...

as far as that "strike list", gimme a fucking break... noone would be here if all those rules got you banned... i respect the job that the mods have to do... i am not in thier shoes, so i dont know how hard it is to be a mod... ya'll DO need to go ahead and unban em... (not because i like headless or anything, but because i've seen alot more bullshit than this from folks, and not a damn word gets said about it)

those of you who are agreeing with the mods on this one, i can understand you doing so, but those of ya who are blatantly sucking mod dick, need to grow some fucking balls...

i hope headless and alien will be back sometime soon, again, not because i enjoy some of headless' posts, but because he didnt need banned (if you go by what has happened here in the past that people have gotten away with)

if this "strike list" is goin to be strictly enforced from here on out, then you higher-ups need to make a sticky post about it saying so before you go banning people...

lensman is in a difficult position now - if he allows headless to return then he basically castrates his moderator who will not be taken seriously anymore - if he holds the ban - then they must enforce it for everyone who does pretty much the same as headless. I agree with ronaldo that we need to remove the surfers and kids first rather than ban industry people.

My feeling is compromise - give headless a week ban as punishment informing anyone who does the same it will not be tolerated - but not a lifetime ban.

I agree with ronaldo that we need to remove the surfers and kids first rather than ban industry people.
