Of course it is, I have only used one service for one domain before. Now I need another expiring domain for business. I'm not in that domain real estate biz so I'm not competition! LOL

But, if ANYONE would like to tip me off to the best that good person can reach me at 152970595. EyeSeeQ

You can use them all.. and only pay/compete for the name with the service that gets it.

Snapnames.com
Pool.com
Enom.com (ClubDrop)
Namewinner
GoDaddy

You'd probably be safe just using the top 3. Depends how competitive the specific name might be too.

GoDaddy's service for this is beyond useless. I used it a while back and after attempting to get like 7-8 domains they never caught, I wrote to them and asked for a refund. They explained to me that they only scan the drop registry once per day and if I can prove that they didn't do that properly, then they'd give me a refund. Otherwise, the fee was non-refundable. Needless to say, it's been a while since I had any domain name with GoDaddy.

Here's a question, how is the bidding decided? Do they all petition ICANN with the highest bid... or is it a question of who's request gets through first.

Or maybe it's a combination. I dunno. Anyone got insight into the process?

Yeh they should scan every hour as it's gets close to the end.

I have to admit, that's week.

They use allotted slots to pound the fuck out of the registry every microsecond to be the 1st to grab a name. The more successful ones have deals with lots of registrar fronts each with their own allotted slots of bandwidth to attempt a register in parallel.

After reading your post Brujah I have done a bit of research and picked the appropriate namecatcher with a pre existing deal with the registrar.

Thanks

And thanks to Mr. Random for letting me in on a helluva tip.

Ah this brings back memories shame this stupid auction system is still there where the fuck is WLS. The one with the most registrars is the one that's got more chance used to be Pool.com i've no idea who it is nowdays.
