the 2 months to turn a profit is bullshit, I don't care how much of a whole in the wall the place is. Even if was a turnkey deal, you still have startup cost, intial inventory, payroll, etc... And if it is that much of a dive, then I doubt it will be grossing that much money. Unless you have a strip club or high scale NYC type club, you make your profit from volume of sales. The prices are pretty relative from bar to bar in a certain area, so volume is what makes money and if you are a whole in the wall you are not going to be making the volume needed to recoupe your investment in 2 months. How much did this guy invest? 5K ?? :1orglaugh

I have to agree with you there....I have worked in clubs and bars since I was 17 years old, and it takes tons of time to eventually see profit

the one exception I have seen was about 4 years ago at this club i ran.....the town was desperatly needing an underground dance club that wasn't cheese...the guy opened the place after only 3 weeks of work on it, the cover was $20 to get in, and in 3 weeks he made back his investment, 400 people a night (thurs-sat) steady at $20 a head did the trick
