It's an editing keyboard. The colors are kind of like quick reminders, each key has a function when "premiere" is active I.E. making in and out points. razor tool etc etc. It also has a a jogg wheel to fast forward or go frame by frame. It is also handy in other programs, the jog/shuttle also works like the wheel on your mouse.
