HDV to WMV or MPG (which Program)
Hi all,
We are encountering problems with converting HDV avi files to WMV or MPEG. What kind or programs or codecs are you using and what settings are you using. Thanks!

Vegas for full on editing but to just convert I'm using Videocharge or AVS Media Encoder. Windows Media Encoder is damn good too. Possibly the best for a no frills encoder. If that's all you want to do I would highly recommend it and AVI/MPG/WMV Splitter to split after you finish.

Thanks guys,
I'm going to test that out. I use Adobe premiere Pro 2.0 for the editting and capturing. Used Vegas in the past, pretty good but prefer Adobe at the moment. Only we are not that happy with the converting maybe we need to test it out more also. Thanks for the info
