amazes me that there are people that cried over her but wouldn't cry over their own families as much

I would never claim to represent anyone but I find it amazing that people seem to think that she was this saint that cared so much about everyone on an almost individual basis. Anyone's death is sad but this is a woman that used the media to her gain at every moment, was certainly no saint (is Harry really Charles's son? for example) and loved publicity stunts.

Mother Theresa in the same few days and you would think Diana was the one that gave up her life of riches to help the poor not Theresa.

Plus you would have to have lived here to see how people that claim to never cry became part of a mass hysteria. There was more than one person on the news saying something like 'I didn't cry when my own mother died but this is just so sad'. Not cricket. (yes, I am becoming too British).

Um... how would THAT happen? The King comes from Prince Charles' side of the family, not Diana's. She was royalty ONLY because she married Charles. Duh.

yeh al fayed clearly has gone bonkers

As agnostic I don't recognize saints. You are reffering to her like there were some major things to be blamed/accussed for. If so, what are they for the rest of us who do not happen to know?

this is an outcome of an event (her death), it doesn't reflect neither alters her personality, good or bad.

You are becoming too British my dear :D

This was nothing more than an accident. This is something that happens every day, yet when it happens to someone fameous there has to be some kind of story behind it.

No matter what even took place - JFK, 9/11, a car crash, a murder, a plane crash - there is no way to know everything and there will always be missing pieces and people who disgree. Two people who witness the same exact event can have different stories to tell.

Some people have to get a life already.

may she continuously rest in peace...

So your friend got a job and Al Fayed came up to her and wanted to fuck her???
