Im not a Manson fan by any means, I hate his music, but stupid generalizations like "you have to be depressed to like his stuff" are just that...stupid generalizations...Ive seen him talk and interviewed several time and the guy's got a good head on his shoulder and his words/ideas are usually interesting...

I also happen to like his art...and Im far from being depressed...so there goes your theory....

One time he was trying to get into Commander's Palace which is one of the 5 star restaraunts down here, they of course have a dress code. Well here comes Mandon and his cronies and they are stopped at the door and told that they can not come in because they are not dressed appropriately, Manson of course is walking around shirtless, apprently that is not just a video thing, he really does not wear a lot of shirts.

So he calls for the manager who comes over, he tells him he agrees with the hostess he may not enter because he is not dressed appropriately. Manson is irate and says, you guessed it, "Do you know who I am"

Manager says "Let's see, no shirt, no shoes, no tallent" He then tells him this is not L.A. he has no "power" here and if he would like to join the other guests of the retaraunt he would just have to go get dressed and come back. I can not think of many funnier moments I have witnessed.
