I think that just about sums it up. At least they're being honest :thumbsup |
Moving Servers to a Colo?
That doesnt add up. Most Host Providers will put in place tempory systems during a move resulting in far less down time, Repropagation of the domain comes with the consideration and timing. The move schedual is essentially to sloppy. So my bet is on, Guba not telling you the real deal LesboDojo. |

Not to mention that technically GUBA was supposed to have its skin here right now, so you mean they planned a colocation move in the hieght of a major Promotion?
GFYers tend to be pretty stupid but I think you are asking them a bit much. |

You are not getting all the information LesboDojo.
I really doubt it. |
Content people: Do yourselves a favor, don't deal with Guba directly. They are soft playing you.
Take a few minutes, and issue a DMCA violation notice to GUBA, and their upstream host. Make sure that their upstream host is clearly aware of all of the material they have "borrowed" from you. Repeated DMCA notices to the hosting company will likely put pressure on them to not provide space to Guba anymore. Further, if the game images re-appear on Guba in the future, you have them on a clear violation that you could then act on. Enjoy. Alex |

Guba who?

Content producers need to take all the steps possible to protect their works. Playing nice with Guba or Fusker or any other leech site is to give them a break. The only way to deal with them is directly through DMCA to them AND to their host(s) as needed. Hosting companies will get very tired of having to actively work on and answer each DMCA complaint (they are obliged to handle them). You can make hosting this stuff VERY uncomfortable indeed. Deal with their reps here on the board means that there is no pain (except a little work, which mostly seems to be filtering search terms and deleting images you point to), which means if those search terms are reactivated or the images re-appear, you have no "get back". It is a truly smart move on Guba's behalf to having someone here doing this, but dealing with them in this manner is just allowing them to get another bite at the apple for free. Protect your content, that is the only way it keeps value. Alex |
Great to hear that Guba is at least is having SOME issues now.
