i dont understand why people have cellphones AND a blackberry. that, to me, is not logical especially if one lives off their blackberry.

if i missed a call, i try to send them an SMS message to call me back.
mine is on silent mode all the time and i dnt expect any important
calls unless its from mom, bro or gf.

Same here. Those of any importance know my blackberry email and on the go im screennames.

its on 24-7 here........ alot of cash has been made from taking calls when others dont in the same biz.

I knew I guy who was sitting at home all days long and he had a cellular to receive phone call .. what a waste of money !

I have two friends that are like that. When we hang out I ask, 'Where's your phone?' and they say, "In the backseat or they don't know."

Some people just don't get the whole communication thing.

Last night my wife and daughter went shopping. I tried to call the wife, straight to voice mail. So I called the kid, she gives her cell phone to the wife. I was like why is you phone off? She said it's not it's dead. So I was like why are you carrying a dead cell phone? And she starts giving me lip. WTF bitch! I charge my phone.

I hate that modern technology means you are never allowed to be uncontactable. There is some value in escaping everyone for an hour or so. It all started with the answering machine that taught us that just because a phone rings it has to be answered.

I dont answer because a lot of the time i dont feel like acting as if i'm interested in what the person is saying. Sometimes when the phone rings and i look at the caller I.D. (which is one of the best inventions ever)- I let out a big sigh because i know this person is going to waste my minutes talking about completely nothing. What really pisses me off is when i dont answer so they figure that calling right back will make me answer. If I answered the phone everytime someone called, i would be on the phone ALL THE TIME. The good news is that just because i dont answer, doesn't mean i wont call you back. We will talk eventually, it's just when i feel like it.

I use my cell phone to recive calls that most of the time I expect...for the rest a sms has to do the trick (to avoid me from forgetting about it...)

BTW I dont really understand how some people accept calls from anon numbers and shit like that...

Yeah they are ignoring you. Maybe they have a cell phone to call who they want to talk to but not answer everytime some needy friend rings em.
