Biz Question: Just Curious Regarding Employees Of Companies...

How many people are under a "contract" in essence 1 yr 2 yr and so on and working for a company?

Better yet just enlighten me on this.... no need for anyone to reveal anything regarding there work and such.

the people I know are under contract simply for tax reasons as "self employed' so they can claim whatever and companies can keep the books clean. while others are under actual employment and have taxes taken off etc. those under certain "year" based or "project" based are usually tech guys or designers - essential to every company but are not in the spotlight to webmasters so they can be replaced without huff should management become unhappy

models are different and usually under contract

There's also a difference between employees and sub-contracters.

nah thats not what i am referring too.

Kinda like what baseball players have ie:

Jon Doe works for ABC. ABD gives him 1 yr contract to work for them stating various different things in contract. IE: amount getting paid , if John Doe cant work he still gets paid. and so on....
