<80 from the UK to US is rather good. If you keep that on average it should be good.

Where are you getting a 6.0 ping?
GFY has the best ping out of most sites I tested, at 43ms. Better than Yahoo and Google, and Goog is at your UK speed |

Pings are slower because it's further away... for uk visitors the uk server would probably be faster then the other one...
