I don't really see anything wrong with it.
But secretly, I'am glad the a female was ahead, this time! heh |
what is the problem with that? that is why the next wife will be super rich
|
I think the part about him asking for the jewelry back has some people calling him a whiner. It does sound kind of petty.
But I certainly don't blame the guy for wanting the same thing many women go for (and get) in that same situation. |

The jewelry part is laughable. I tried to get it declared as community property when I got divorced last time. The judge had a good laugh when I said it was an "investment." |

If it hadn't been for that show, she wouldn't have made shit in the past few years. Her career was dead at that point. He should get half no quetsions asked. |
When I left my husband, I gave him ALL my furniture, websites, household items, everything but a bag full of my own clothes. Then he came after me for spousal support because he had chosen not to work the whole two years prior. And the icing on the cake, was that my job in which I was making really killer money was being used against me in court for 3 years for a nasty custody dispute.
I hate all blood sucking leaches like that. Basically he was doing it because his spoiled parents both of whom inherited lots of money were paying his lawyer bills. Mine was all coming out of my pocket. The only case in which I think it's fair to receive spousal support, is if one parent had given up the chance of going to college and pursuing a career to be the home maker and raise the kids. Cuz then when the one making the money starts fucking their coworkers or whatever, the one who really sacraficed is the one that's fucked with no retirement, insurance, etc. But on the same note I think that they should be required to either get a job or enroll in school. |
In some sense I can see some justice here, she would never have become as popular as she has if it werent for her marriage to him.
I recall seeing her 2005 income posted somewhere as being around 30mil, so given that a fair share of that is a result of their marriage, their reality show then I can see some validity to it. Anybody who's dick is so small that they think seeking spousal support is a sign of weakness has never been divorced from somebody who makes 30mil a year... it's like being handed a golden ticket... all you gotta do is ask for money and they give it to you. It's a fucked up system but I don't blame the guy for participating. |
I am a female and really believe in equal rights so i don't see anything wrong with the guy asking for spousal support. If you want equal rights for men and women it has to be equal on BOTH sides, and if that includes the guy getting spousal support or the wife having to support the husband finacially that's FINE with me.
You can't be for equal rights and then expect the guy to always pay for you or support you financially. That's why I always support myself and pay my own way. Since I believe in equal rights I don't expect any guy to pay for me, it should be EXACTLY 50/50, that's only fair. You can't move ahead if you always "play the victim" and expect the guy to pay, just because he's the guy, because if you do that, then your indirectly saying that he has more power and is more dominant. There should be NO double standards whatsoever. Whoever makes more should pay, especially if the money was made during the marriage, and I hope women make more and pay up spousal support to show the men that we don't need their money! I think its sexist to think that women shouldnt pay spousal support. Why shouldn't we? IF we want equal rights we should pay spousal support too. It sucks, but it's only fair that way. |
pathetic
, I bet you anything jess is still an anal virgin. He should've at least popped that before he went sniveling for alimony.:1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
I could never see a man asking a woman for that, but his career has pretty much had its best days, and she's been the bread winner for the last couple years, so legally he should be entitled to half the assets. But, I'd be embarassed as hell if I were him because the press will run with this story like mad and make him look like a total loser now.

1+1 does not equal 2 for that show |

I still don't get if they rented or bought that house they are in. Ashley said he needed 8k to get the house, is that for first and last months rent plus a deposit or what? Ashley is an idiot. |

a true pimp would take 100%

i would have done the same thing he did. as others said, Jessica never would have made near the $$$ she did if she didn't get married and they made the TV show which helped drive her popularity. come on, seriously, would anyone of GFY turn down $10 or $20 million because some people thing its not manly thing to do? he's already nailing some hot brunette chic and bought a pimpin house. he could care less.
|
Asking back for the jewelery he gave her? that is pretty damn sad.
