Car lovers: 20" Rims For An Infiniti M45 ok?

I am buying a new Umbria Gray M45 with black interior and the permium package today and am going to order 20" chrome rims and tires for it. Do you think 20s are too big for that car? The regular M45 has 18s and the sport has 19s.

This is a pic of the car with the stock 19s

Opinions from car enthusiasts please...

Thanks, Mitch

I have the stock 19's on my 2006 M45 Sport and people always comment on how nice they are.

I would'nt bother spending all that money for one more inch of rim. Just my 2 cents.

I'd stick with the stock 19's, it's a beautiful car imo.

Well I did not get the sport (because I wanted the reclining back seats & rosewood interior) so the car has 18s which are too small. It is only 3k for 20s and I thought it would be a nice touch and not too big, you know?

I agree but the 20s are not considered too big for this car.

I think 20' rims would be nice .. it would fill that space between the tire and car well but you have to consider that it will change the ride a bit. that car has a nice ride and the less rubber the more you fell the road .. you have to consider if the 1' is worth the change in ride .. 19' s should look hot and car speaks for it's self IMO

Have fun, I can't wait to pick mine up, it is a sweet damn ride.

Id stick with the 19"s. The ride is going to feel different if you put the 20"s on and the car already looks clean without it.

Great car - nicest I've ever been in.

I'd go with the 19's with the open spoke design:

Also, if you don't have one, go get yourself a Bluetooth phone. You'll love the integration.

I do have a Bluetooth Treo and am looking forward to using it in the car. I am going to go for the 20s with this (above) spoke design I think.

Thanks, Mitch

3k???

I think you are underestimating the extra cost for a good break kit you'll need to add as well.

Id personally go for adding some nice 20's.. Never liked stock anything, and it will only look nicer.

But keep in mind that you will need some ionized rotors as well as a ionized caliper set to go with this.

Nothing worse than nice rims, which is a window to the breaks and you see rusty stock rotors, and calipers.. Doesnt matter if the car is brand spankin new.. They will look like shit... Have to get a break kit.

Its like a hot woman in a skirt and high heels. It just looks like shit if she doesnt shave her legs.

Also, make sure you get it done by a place that knows what they are doing and knows about rim offsets.

Nothing looks worse than a set of rims and tires that the offset just doesnt match the car, and the profiles of the tires just way off.

Go to a pro, someone who knows and does a lot of oversized rims sales and installs.

After looking at more pics of this car on cardomain and other places, im thinking you could probably just stick with the 19 inch rims.

Just tint the windows.

But as you said you have 18's.. Not sure how that looks.

Its really just personal preference..

Thanks for the great info. I am going for the 20s and will look into upgraded brakes and rotors. I love the car already and have only had it a couple of hours. I do miss my M3 and it has been gone for less than 2 hours. What a great car that is but just a little small and stiff for my needs these days.

Mitch
