Best place to vacation in Mexico?

Cancun, Cabo, Puerto Vallerta (sp?)...

Which is best? And which resorts are decent/good?

Looking for a place not anymore than $350 a night for 2 people, all inclusive, beaches, a few activities or sights, decent clubs, younger crowd, etc. I was looking at a place in Cancun called Rui that seemed pretty good but am looking for any suggestions or options.

Help!

I like Cabo the best from the places I've been. Acapulco would probably be pretty nice though.

Cabo is from what I hear a great romantic spot for couples, and comes highly recommended by those couples I've known who have been there.

I've been to Acapulco twice, both times I had an absolute blast. I would recommend checking out the Princess hotel located just outside of the city, it's in that price range, has a fantastic beach, excellent pool with a bar in it located inside a waterfall. I don't know if they have an all-inclusive package there though, but worth checking out for sure.

If you plan to go to Mexico. You should head out to cancun. the places here in baja are having some major drug wars and its really not that safe.

I'll let you know how is. I've done Cancun before, not bad, but that was senior year of high school ; )

Cancun and Playa Del Carmen.

the beaches are top notch. Lots of cool local stuff to do.
Mayan ruins... Tulum and Chichen Itza.

Tulum ruins, is right on the beach. Probably one of the most beautiful beach places Ive ever seen.

Chichen-Itza is more inland and bigger. Not been there, but seen photos, looks cool.

If you go in the Cancun area (Yucatan Peninsula) visit Cozumel -- little Island just a few clicks off the mainland -- everything there is gorgeous --

The Caribbean/Gulf side is very beautiful. I went there when I was a teenager with my folks. We had an old camper my dad loved before he passed.

Las Brisas or The Princess Hotel in Acapulco. Las Brisas is the more exclusive and high end of the two and the views of Acapulco Bay are to die for. The food is out of this world. Service like you're a celeb. They provide guests with pink jeep renegade sto ride around town in too which is fun. The Princess is tops also and feels more tropical and has lots more people and action. Buffets there are incredible.

You won't want to ever leave.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions, but some of you are thinking too "romantic". This would be a couple guys that want to party for 4 days. We aren't total party animals but we do want to have a great time with plenty to drink and eat, and eye candy would be a huge plus.

haha nothing romatic about my trip wias with my uncle we dived off the island during the morning , hit the ferry to main land by day then would hit tulum, playa or cancun depending on the day. Transpotation off the island is cheap anyways.. bus from playa to cancun was $3.50 that is like an hour ride in a gray hound like bus.. then we hit the strip clubs just outta cancun one night. etc... so no romatic shit on our trip and we had a blast. some of the females go topless on playa's beach also and golf course just south of town too in playacar..

Bah,
This place that we are going to is for a wedding, yes, but it's an all inclusive resort for a friend so they can get hitched ... small, intimate, and then we can party. It will also be during spring break time ...

I think that for the hour of the wedding it will be romantic but then the rest of the time we'll be too wasted for romance.
