18.57

You can back check it:

Multiple 18.57 by .30 and get 5.57 which is 30 percent of 18.57

Then subtract 5.57 from 18.57 and get 13

13 = 30% off = 70%

0.70x = 13
x = 18.57

You mean $13 is the "30% off" price? If that is true then it's 70% of the original price which means that woj is right and it the real price is 13 divided by 0.7

x-.3x=13 (you want to get rid of decimal)
10x-3x=130 (mult by 10)
7x=130 (total of x's)
x=18.57 (divide by number of x's - 7)

.30x=13
x=43.33

If $13 is the 30% discount, which is what I assumed, the original price was $43.33

This is correct if $13.00 is the amount discounted. $18.57 is correct if $13.00 is the price after the discount.

If the price of the ticket after the 30% discount is $13 then the original cost is

x-.3x=$13
.7x=13
x=$18.57

What dont you get?

And I just saw in the news the other day about how it was so amazing how kids graduating Highschool couldn't do simple Algebra...

As someone already said, depending on what the fuck you meant, both the answers are correct, but I think the answer you are looking for is the $18.57.

Original Price - 30% discount = $13.00

What is the Original price?

hehe

this is really really easy but I think this could help you anyway, please read.

if it's 30% off you most have 70% of the total left. (100-30=70)
(this is the only thing that require brain activity at all)

this is how you are suppose to think (so you don't feel retarded next time).

We know what 70% of the total is, the key is now to find out what 1% is:
70% = 13 <=> 70%/70 = 13/70 <=> 1% = (13/70).

now that you know what 1% is and all you have to do to find 100% is to take 1% a hundred times

1% = (13/70) <=> "we multiply with 100 on both sides"
100% = (13/70)*100 = 18.57....

I hope this will make you remember how to solve these small percentage problems forever

Ahahaha dumbass.

"if 30% off is 13.00 whats full price"

It's exactly what woj fucking told you a mile up this page. 18.57 @ 30% off (wtf you asked) is 13. If you wanted a different answer you worded the question wrong.

hehe... no... I did it by hand... no calculator at all, in fact but I made a mistake... it's from -.66 to -.33, not 0 to -.5...

I have to redo the math... think I'll use windows calculator this time around.

You need to work on your English before you delve into Mathematics.

I don't even think you know what you fucking asked...

When you say "If 30% off is $13.00, what is the full price", that means that the new price after a 30% discount is $13.00, which made the original price $18.57.

Try to stay with me here:

Off = subtract
is = equals

so what you asked was basically "If Subtracting 30% = $13.00, what was the full price?"

If you wanted the answer to be the 43.33 your question should have been "30% OF the full price is $13.00, what is the full price?"

Off = subtract
is = equals

so what you asked was basically "If Subtracting 30% = $13.00, what was the full price?"

If you wanted the answer to be the 43.33 your question should have been "30% OF the full price is $13.00, what is the full price?"
well said
