Adobe Premiere Pro question - anyone know?
Sometimes when I import a video into the bin and place it into the timeline it doesn't fill up the screen, it make it smaller than the size of the screen and tons of black around it
anyone know why it would do that? |

Have not played with Premiere for a while, but maybe the aspect ratios of the clips you are trying to join are different, even if the preview screen was the same size.

Is this just a preview issue, or does the black area persist after you make?

Simple, what size is your file? if its not 720x480 (standard size in Premiere), then you will have black space around it.
You will probably need to re-encode your file so that its 720x480 with 0.9 DV pixels as an aspect ratio if problem persists, cock gun, place to head, and ICQ me
