Porn Poker Tour in Phoenix - Need input please

    Hi Everyone,

The Porn Poker Tour will be coming to Phoenix as the official closing party. We are going to do a 4 hour party and tournament and will post an official release soon. In the meantime, we are looking for input as we will follow the same format as our parties at Cybernet and Webmaster access LA and will have half of the room as a poker tourney and the other half with music and open bar for dancing and networking.

What we would like to know is if you all would prefer a DJ with dance music or to have "Webmaster Kareoke" with some good music and drunk webmasters singing in between?

    Input please...

Kudos to the sponsors of the PPT:

we should just have you sing, and since you don't last very long in the tournament we wont have to wait too long.

i'm up for watching karaoke, i think that would be fun, as well as provide blackmail material for years to come.

Karaoke is fun if people are drunk enough.
DJ's are cool if they're good and there's room to dance!

Agreed. If they're not into it though, it could be a big dud.

Having a good Karaoke host is important in getting the crowd going...or filling time between "Singers".

                                            Sorry, no.

I've just seen Karaoke done by guys that can both sing AND get the crowd up to sing...with people lined up. That's when it's fun.

But, I've also seen guys that couldn't sing for shit, NOR could they get the crowd up to sing. If that happens, it can be a big waste of time with people standing around waiting for someone to sing.

If I was booking it, I'd just get a good reference and see what they offer as far as hosting. If by hosting, they mean setting up the machine and just letting it go, I'd steer clear. If they actually sing and walk around having fun with the crowd, people will be more relaxed and willing to go up and sing...myself excluded of course.

I vote for music for at least the first 1 - 2 hours and then start the kareoke. Most won't have the balls to get up there and sign in front of people they do business with and people they don't know until they have a few drinks in them. Also more people will be available to participate since there will be alot of people knocked out of the Tournament by then. I think it would be a flop to do it from the begining.

Most won't have the balls to get up there and sign in front of people they do business with and people they don't know until they have a few drinks in them. Also more people will be available to participate since there will be alot of people knocked out of the Tournament by then. I think it would be a flop to do it from the begining.
