Umm dont forget 2 rookies on the Rangers, Peter Prucca and the goalie Lundqvist , not sure if im spelling right
Rangers could very well have triple crown:
Rookie of the year - the above mentoned
MVP - Jager
Coach of the year - Tom RennyComment

I totally agree with Jagr as MVP and Renney as coach of the year. Lundqvist should be on the list, my mistake for not putting him on it, but Phaneuf is one hell of a rookie. The guy is logging close to 25 minutes a game on a pretty good Calgary Flames team. Prucca is spelled Prucha, a very good player, too bad he is injured though.Originally posted by amacontentUmm dont forget 2 rookies on the Rangers, Peter Prucca and the goalie Lundqvist , not sure if im spelling right

Dion wont win but he is doing something more special...the goals record for a rookie d-man is 22 he has 15 so far. only 3 rookie d-men in nhl history have even hit 20. A rookie forward had scored 86 and either of the other two probably wont even hit half of that. Also hes on a good team so his goals arnt coming in blowout games his team is losing 6-2 or whatever. harder to score in close games. And he'll kick your ass, he one mean motherComment

Totally agree with you dude. I like this kid alot, I know that Ovechkin will win, but if they were to give a rookie defenseman of the year Dion should win. That kid is 20 and BOY can he hit. He has taken on guys alot older than him and he has whipped their ass.Comment

Phaneuf should be winning, Ovechkin will win, but Crosby is playing for the 2nd worse nhl team so ...Originally posted by rayadp05I rebooted, deleted temp files, history, cookies and everything...still cannot view the news clip. Agreed, but playing on the second worse team has not stopped other rookies from winning rookie of the year. Alfredsson, Statsny, Lemieux and Potvin won it and their teams did not do well and what about Ovechkin, his team is not all that hot either.Comment

Alexander Ovechkin will..Crosby isn't up to the task and probably take a couple years to developeComment

Who will win the 2005-2006 NHL Rookie of the Year? http://www.docsports.com/2006-nhl-ro...-the-year.html
--Sydney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins - 1.5 to 1 --Alexander Ovechkin, Washington Capitals - 1.5 to 1 --None of the above - 1 to 20
"Both of these players are phenomenal athletes and at such a young age," said Mickey Richardson, CEO of BetCRIS. "Either player could win this award but Ovechkin's goal last Monday may have been one of the best I've ever seen."Comment

Still plenty of games to play to say Ovechkin for sure. Svatos isn't doing too bad either.

What he said.Originally posted by Evil ChrisUnless he gets hurt it will surely be Ovechkin.
And I can't argue much with Jagr for MVP and Renney for coach, may be even Jagr for Comeback player too. I don't think anyone ever would've thought the Rangers would be where they are right now.Comment
