CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The 78-year-old lawyer who was shot by Vice President Dick Cheney in a hunting accident has some birdshot lodged in his heart and he had a "a minor heart attack" Tuesday morning, hospital officials said.

there's no way he was 30 yards away when he was shot by a 28 gauge. A 12 gauge (much larger gun) with bird shot would have done that kind of damage at that range. It sounds like he was shot at much closer range, or with very large shot (pellets) in the cartridge.
