It's ironic you started this thread. The other day Napolean and I were shopping and he saw a container of ice cream (Reese's peanut butter cup) in a part of the frozen aisle that it didn't belong and he wanted it. I stopped him and said "We'll get it from the ice cream aisle, you don't know how that got here."

I usually always put things back where they belong except sometimes you are forced to abandon things while you are on the checkout line. In my area, Super Walmart and other stores make you stand on line for a half hour or more because of slow cashiers, price checks, etc etc while your items are defrosting in your cart, you no longer want to even be in the store much less go all the way back to return an item, especially when its 95 degrees in the middle of July. In cases like that, I blame the store's poor management for people borderline "stealing" items.

Moral of the story: don't shop for groceries at Walmart

bhutocracy 02-14-2006 08:36 PM

Always put it back. Don't know why.. im not trying to make someone's day or anything.. I just think it's lame or lazy when I see someone put a tin of spaghetti in the cheese section or whatever.
Never did retail.. wouldn't want to.

We live 20 minutes from the nearest store, which is Walmart and we usually avoid it like the plague but it's ok for things like soap and cat food. We learned the Walmart food lesson years ago. The only things halfway decent from Walmart are the canned and frozen products.

Stacey_JoinRightNow 02-14-2006 08:56 PM

Put it back where it belongs...

Vitasoy 02-15-2006 07:57 AM

Put it back, from where I got it from

sweetums 02-15-2006 08:07 AM

Unless I've gotten to the cash, it'll go back in its place.

Teodora 02-15-2006 08:15 AM

Which is what I would do and think is right. Fair enough if you don't want it but it just seems polite not to just put it down anywhere.

seeric 02-15-2006 08:16 AM

i put it back where i got it, expecially if its perishables, like frozen stuff. i dont put back produce though. wierd pet peeve. my opinion is if you fondle the fruit its yours. Lol.

picsmasters 02-15-2006 08:16 AM

I put anywhere

nick1980 02-15-2006 05:43 PM

i try to put them where they belong but if it's too far, i just left it somewhere.

tony286 02-15-2006 05:45 PM

put it back where I found it.

Sarah_Jayne 02-16-2006 04:40 AM

Perhaps supermarkets should have dump bins every few isles so atleast people would maybe be more inclined to dump things in one place if they don't want them. At least that way they would have to hunt as many things down throughout the whole store.

Stamen 02-16-2006 04:46 AM

I always put it back, but my girlfriend is a leave it where she doesn't want it anymore person, so it's always an interesting tug of war when it comes to shit we don't want anymore...

Drake 02-16-2006 05:15 AM

Back where I found it.

Drake 02-16-2006 05:16 AM

On a similar note, why do people litter? I hate that. Throw trash into the trash can, please.
