80% of the people held since 911 are innocent, they come in looking for a guys brother he isnt there. They take who is there. Our rights are what make us a great country, you start cutting back on them for false safety .They win. Lets get something straight 911 could of been prevented, they wanted it to happen so they could move forward with their agenda.

The US is coming dangerously close to creating a situation where other countries, even first world countries, will have no reason and no impetus to even attempt to work with the US.

Yes, I'm American, just as much as any of the other people that were born and raised here. But I don't agree with alot of the heavy handed decisions that are being made, especially in conflict with global organizations and assocations that we've long used as our own bully pulpit, such as the UN or the WTO.

Just because we're American doesn't mean we can do everything on our own. There are way more people in China alone than the US, I don't think we're going to like it if they become a first world nation.

It was your post, you explain it you tool. Considering it had nothing to do with the topic at hand I had to assume it was some kind of pathetic attempt at a comeback that failed horribly.

If I were arguing with you I might need a comeback but I weren't. I don't think I took a stance either way on the issue except to say "a fucking truce?"

EdgeXXX 02-13-2006 11:16 PM

That's funny, but I don't see the UN forcing the US to do anything...

Kevin - The PNN 02-13-2006 11:17 PM

FUCK the UN

spunkmaster 02-14-2006 12:05 AM

They're not Fucking POW's and they don't wear any uniform so they don't get legal aid. Because the Geneva convention doesn't apply and they didn't sign it they have no legal options but to sit in a cell until the end of the war.

what war ? i thought the war was over.. or did you mean the war on terrorism ? , bush said that war will never end..

je_rome 02-14-2006 12:44 AM

i agree with UN. after all the UNited Nations, being an international body, puts primordial importance on human rights. every man, prisoner or otherwise, deserves to live in a fully human condition. anything less is deplorable.

So they're not POW's yet they have no option but to sit in a jail cell until the end of the war. Lemme guess, you're in the south.

WTF does being from the south have to do with anything?

archiveman 02-14-2006 01:11 AM

...Guantanamo Bay will forever (and rightly) be regarded as a stain on the USA's history - that's a fact.

yeah, you're right. the UN is there to save the day... its what they do. fuck all the innocent men, women and children who are getting butchered in the world... hopefully the UN will step it up and protect the taliban fighters, terrorists and mercenaries.

is it wrong to say "America Fuck Yeah"??? :P
anyhow.. time will tell

PMdave 02-14-2006 02:14 AM

the big mighty US with NO social security system, an economy that drives on debts and war, no capability to handle local disasters, where racism is the standard and human rights or international agreements mean nothing, no real culture or even a real history (atleast not one they recogize or respect), the land that once was the safe haven for the scum of the earth, ...., ... thinks it controls the world now and can do whatever they want to do and force anyone to do what they want them to do.

Well let me give one small example: a few good missles from iran on a few oil tankers and the whole western society (including the european) collapses.
