i can't believe it.

its not like i'll only be buying a single set either. yet everyone that i have spoken to refuses point blank to set this up. a lot of content providers promote themselves heavily around here, but won't spend 10 minutes to accomodate my order. let me spell it out... i need(ed) about a thousand dollars worth of content per month, and it'll take less than 10 minutes of time to set this up. i don't know anyone that makes 100$ per minute.

anyway i found a few good providers and we settled on wire transfer.

so fuck it.

my bank accounts is denoted in sterling, not dollars.

sponsors don't want a check in sterling. they don't want to wait two weeks for it to clear, i don't want to wait two weeks to get my content each month, and neither of us want to pay the bank fees.

i would never accept billpoint. its way too risky for the seller. sell a thousand dollars worth of content and then 3 months later wells fargo will call and say 'u owe us $1025 for the chargeback'.

thats true with just about any processor though.

chargebacks are rarely an issue in the uk. the american banks make it too easy for their customers. besides that, i don't even think its possible to dispute a charge on a switch card. switch card isn't a credit card.

They handle transactions for over 100 countries.

ya but we're not talking about a customer charging back. well we are but not the way ur thinking.

i'm talking about someone using someone else's card. it happens a lot with billpoint. anyone who's sold a lot of stuff on ebay, including myself has noticed it. i stopped accepting billpoint because its too much of a pain in the ass to police all my auctions. i never had a chargeback with paypal.
