Different landing pages may appeal to different types of traffic. You need to match them up.

If you use a discriptive text link it might be best to send to the registration page as the surfer will know what he is signing up for from your link. If you are sending 404 I would use the gallery page or our geo-targeted search page. We allow you to use subid so you can test and find out what works best with your traffic.

What about when using the geo banners with member thumbs, is it a good idea to send to the join page?

Usually the search page works best. But it might be worth testing out with your traffic so that you know what is best for you.
