I've made loads of good money in this business, but only from developing sites for pay member sites for models...They said it best - Burger King!

To build a referral site from the ground up seems like an insurmountable task...If you really want to hook into a good thing - be an honest guy who develops single model sites for top models...A good single model site can carry around 1,000 members - at $20/month, do the math. They make bank and are constantly getting ripped of by crappy assholes who don't know shit...If you can build a rep with these gals around being honest and good - you can make lots of money.

GatorB 02-11-2006 02:54 PM

Grossing 50k a week is no probelm, profiting 50k is another story.

Young 02-11-2006 03:02 PM

I make $0 a year. I have no income. I file no taxes. I own no assets and have no liabilities to speak of.:pimp

Well you still get the whole check from the sponsor whether you spend 50%, 90% or 0% on expenses. Some people rather claim to make $100K a year than to say they only made $20K after expenses. A $100K sounds better. And technically they would be correct in saying they made $100K in a year.

no they wouldn't be correct.

if you got 50k in revenue but it cost you 60k to make that. you in fact didn't make shit

Thomas1007 02-11-2006 03:23 PM

50k isnt shit. Its irrelevant.

work+time-expenses=profit.
If you cant make 50k in a year then you need to go back to work at McDonalds. :2 cents:

If one asked specifically how much in SALES did you make in a year and you made $50K in sale then it doesn't matter what your expenses were you still made that ammount in sales. Hence why I was asking specifically either sales or profit.

Actually if you worked at McDonald's full-time you'd most likely make less than $16K a year( in my area it would be under $12k per year ). So I'd say if you can't make at least $16K a year you need to go back to McDonald's

as an afiliate (not site owner) you shouldn't have that much overhead. Even if you spending a lot of money on your ads, if you not making back at least 40% or more you doing something wrong.

So either way, if someone is grossing 50K a month they still should be making a decent amount of money.

PassionTeam 02-11-2006 09:45 PM

Why is 40% a magic number? Profit is profit even if its 20% or 30%

will76 02-12-2006 07:04 PM

MOney is money. If you doing a high volume and making 20% thats not too bad. 200K gross 20% profit is still a nice chunk of change.

You guys were making it sound like 50K gross with nothing/ easy to do. What I was saying was that if you doing 40% or more net off of even 50K gross then it still a lot of money.
