    intra-page intruding ads ala the "splash console"

    i think we'll see a bit of a push in the industry towards things like the big player "splash console".. the mainstream has had these style of intrapage console size ads as de rigueur for a while now.. yahoo had a cd player that opened up to cover half your page on rollover. various news sources had similar things.. one gaming site i saw had a vehicle running around the screen over the top of what you were reading.. i heard about another for orange the telecommunications company.. and the whole page filled up with orange.. essentially an interstitial..
    yet there just isn't that much of a call around for anything more than banner ad sweatshops.. (and FPA's of course)

    what are your thoughts?

                      don't give people ideas then

                      i don't find theres anything wrong with 90% of the sigs here.. there are stipulations and most people stick to them.. we are all a bunch of marketeers - why would people even raise an eyebrow at the fact that instead of witty lines we have small buttons in our sigs?

                      i understand though when you're talking about sigs that actually take up the area of a small post and give you RSI trying to scroll through them..
