Just got back from 2 weeks in Kiev, though I picked the wrong time to visit: They were in a deep freeze the first week or so.
If you've never been to the Ukraine or other former CIS countries, I'd highly recommend it - in the Spring or Summer! They have some of the most amazing architecture, monuments and historical attractions anywhere. I was only sorry I didn't see the rest of the country - they have a long history of conflict and there are incredible castles, fortresses, etc. that are hundreds of years old.
Oh, and as for the women: I haven't been to every country on the planet - not even close to half - but without a doubt, Ukraine has the most stunningly beautiful women I've ever seen, by a wide margin.
If you like the Jessica Simpson American blonde look, they are likely not to your tastes. But for those of us who love the Eastern European look, you'll be in heaven. Trust me.

Monuments are everywhere ... Just wish here in Canada we honoured more people like this! (Then again, the list of worthy candidates wouldn't be as big):
Overlooking the Dniper river which was obviously mostly frozen. There are I believe 5 bridges connecting the city and they were building another one.
In the background is supposedly Klitschko's residence - not sure which brother, but I'm assuming the older one:
The Opera House, where I actually saw an opera about Moses. Unfortunately, it was sung in Ukrainian but it was still great to watch:
A central bank. As I said, the architecture was simply amazing. I could easily have taken photos of 100 buildings like this:
I would definetly like to go back in the Spring/Summer - much better for seeing the numerous (and massive) parks as well as some of the castles and historical sites across the country.
