and if you don't pay them they won't send you any more traffic. Simple? |
Can i have his check too?
|
no, you get to be ass fucked by google lawers in court.
|
This is a bullshit ass thread.
I don't even push AP and I've gotten Lensman on the phone. All you have to do is call and dial the Foosball Room extension on the phone tree, I think it's ext 4 or something. Once, back in the day,I had an emergency with my GFY signature and I got him on the customer lounge line at North Rocklin BMW-Saab, I think he was getting the oil changed in his old 740. |

but u rip someone off they have every right to come after u. ppl do this for a living, not as a hobby where if everyone just says 'we're not paying' u can just shrug it off. |
shit, i just remembered that AP still owes me $2.61
gotta get those pigeons ready soon... |

When I first began in this business I learned that sponsors in general cannot be trusted. I used to check my stats daily and when a check did not arrive I would E-mail the sponsor (some of whom never responded ever) and others would respond with one excuse or another as to why I had not received a check. Some of these sponsors are now defunct but others of them are still online. The amounts I never received where not enough to persue and if you read most of the sponsor's terms carefully they pretty much cover their ass. I seldom check stats anymore, so I usually do not know what is owed to me by whom.
The honest sponsors will pay you most of the time. The less than honest will pay you some of the time. The totally dishonest ones will always find one excuse or another not to pay any of the time. |
WOW
|
Damn, I got a check the other day that said TAG2 on it but I thought it was for a watch. Hell, I will even hold on to it while you drive down here and pick it up. Then, instead of calling you to apologize for bitch smacking you, I will post it on the board for EVERYONE to see :1orglaugh
Silly shit, man. There is no way on God's green earth that AP would hold out on you for a few hundred bucks. It is obviously a mistake on somebody's behalf but a public forum (especially this crazy one) is no place to handle it. :2 cents: |
Lensman,
I'm sure you run a top notch company over there and that this type of situation rarely happens. In cases like this, if a webmaster 'claims' to have been waiting 'x' number of weeks/months for a check, no matter how big it is and it never arrives...would it be feasible to send a new check via 'certified mail?'...that way there you can track if it has been delivered (via a signature) and the webmaster in question did in fact receive it?....or would this be to costly for every webmaster that comes to you to concerning 'lost' or 'non-delivered' checks from AP? If this only happens...oh...say...'every so often', then wouldn't sending the check via certified mail be a better resource then another email stating 'checks in the mail again?'... Just asking...that's all! Thanks, |
at least split the cost.
|
Fuck you idiot. I have been paid every month in FULL!

I just want to say that i used to have problems with AP support myself, and i can understand the guy's frustration. Sleaze - I dont approve that "I'm tougher than you, therefore I choose whether to pay you or not" attitude. The deal is, if a person honestly earned his money, he should be payed. Looks like the guy tried emailing support, tried posting in the support forums etc - and support still didnt get the situation resolved. If there is nothing else to the story, I think his "asshole" attitude is justified. :2 cents: |
Lensman,
I would get this issue resolved quickly otherwise this individual is going to hire that WORD guy (investigator) and you are in big trouble then ;-) |
Quote:
Pathfinder, your wizdom on this issue has obviously gotten you where you are today. To the rest of you dopes; when someone doesn't get a check, you *DON'T* just write them a new one you investigate what happened. If the webmaster doesn't bother telling the sponsor about it in a timely fashion, don't expect the sponsor to make it priority 1 either. When you write thousands of checks a month, odds are one or two might have a problem (usually caused by the webmaster). If you react like a dick about a problem arrising, expect to be treated like a dick. Just yesterday some moron sent me an email asking how he could ensure that his check would go to him and not somebody else. My answer was,"by giving us your proper name and address when you signed up 5 minutes ago. If this is your business, there is no reason for a program operator to have to hold your hand. This is YOUR business and YOU should know how to resolve problems conserning YOUR business. Acting like an asshole doesn't get it done. |
12clicks the guy did email them about it a few times. he has a lil page up with the emails on it. after 5 months of emails or something, duno i've seen a few numbers floating around, he came here and bitched.
guess that about sums it up. |
The honest sponsors will pay you most of the time. The less than honest will pay you some of the time. The totally dishonest ones will always find one excuse or another not to pay any of the time.
Not wisdom; but is the truth. |
this thread will die soon enough
|
I hear www.amazon.com has a great webmaster program. Apparently none of their checks get lost. You can link direct to the book of your choice....personally "Revenge for Beginners" may suit you...
|
they must have some sex novels, should convert good on story sites :)
|
I've heard nothing but good things about AP. And from big guys in the industry too. By far, it has the best rep for a click thru program that i've ever seen.

You people still receive checks from sponsors?......there is a thing called wire transfers....try it, we do and seems to work flawlessly.
There can be no excuses or assumptions from either party and please don't tell me that some sponsors won't do wire transfers. I guarantee if you generate enough dollars per pay period and give them a call, they will be more than happy to do it for you. |
nobody is going to transfer 250$ by wire. fuck... the transfer fee would probably double that amount. :1orglaugh
to the guy talking about the ctc/2 week thing, i know that topcash used to do that back when they used ctc. no traffic for 2 weeks, no account. |
cant stop lauging :)
