Slips like that happen when you're already hurt and starting to feel the desperation. Chuck could have slipped and been knocked out. He didn't though. Why? Because the better fighter doesn't slip. The better fighter knocks the guy out who slips. Randy was already hurt in the first and in big trouble with a badly broken nose. It was a no contest from the start. As for Chuck I've never met him but people I know who have say he's the most down to earth guy.
He's not a dirty fighter. When you train to fight you focus on taking advantage of your opponents mistakes. Chuck did the right thing. Just like when your hammering someone who probably is going out, you still don't stop till the ref stops you. Otherwise your opponent could recover and fuck you up! Just the way it is in MMA.
