Maybe a dumb question re winders xp
Im removing an 80GB drive from one puter
Id like to use it as my primary (read OS drive) on another that is currently a 20GB drive heres the question is there a way to copy the current drive including winders to the 80GB drive so that I may then remove the 20 replace it with the 80 and have everything work same as before or would I have to re-install XP Thanks In Advamce South

IF it was a same size drive and same make, I might try it, but it's going to see it as a different drive. I don't see it going well as a switch without letting XP know.

you can use norton ghost, it does that kind of stuff, it makes an exact copy of a drive in a directory of your choice. Just make sure the destination drive is blank( ntfs formated) and just launch the stuff. You may find other soft that can do the same work. But my 2 cents is that you should reinstall XP. it takes a little time to have evrything working, and you'll have a BRAND NEW system, faster than your good ol' one

I used norton ghost before. They called it cloning ( disk to disk, partition to disk, etc)
JUST BE CAREFUL. you dont want to confuse your source drive and your destination drive
