I've heard that the max PR you can get for adult is a 6. And given that the big sites seem to only be at 5 (have yet to see a 6), I suspect that's true. But is there "scaling" going on in the SERPs? What I mean is this. Usually when you have a PR4 site, you're going to be getting some decent SE results (i'm talking bigger SE terms here). But I've got a couple PR4 mainstream sites that get next to nothing. However, they haven't been optimized for much either as I'm not focusing on that side right now. But it makes me wonder if there's a difference, i.e. like you have to reach a 5 or 6 on mainstream sites in order to get good listings that would be equivalent to a PR4/5 adult site. Thoughts?

I believe there is a cap on PR for adult. Don't know how detailed I want to get on findings, but I've had sites with tens of thousands of links, including PR 8 links that couldn't budge past 5 or 6.
