I'm selling Tommy Lee's Drum Set "Theatre Of Pain" Circa 1985-86 See Pics

Hey Crue fans I am selling Tommy Lee's Drum Set. He used this back in 1985-1986 for the Theatre Of Pain Tour. He gave it to his sister years ago and now she is having me sell it for her since I work with her band "Krunk". I know there are quite a few Motley Crue Fans on Gfy so I figured I would post this here before I did it on Ebay. icq me if interested and I will give you details icq #198815198

I'm hoping this source is more reliable than your Steve-O source, haha. Someone on eBay will probably snap it right up, though you may want to try some of the musician auction sites too.

They came out too late during that time and got overplayed too quick. I went to High School with Steve brown (guitarist). They used to play at our school talent shows before they were signed

not sure if they went gold, they had great promotion that shot them right up to the top quick. let me give you the scoop on them

They got kicked off the scorpions tour for lipsyncing, what most people didn't know is that they had a keyboard player in the band, his contract kept him off stage so he can pump the vocals and other effects through the keyboards

Last time i saw Steve was when i moved from NJ about 7 years ago he was playing in a local bar band called Soap.

what what what? Fucking Trixter Lipped synced? I never heard that and too make this story even funnier is that Tommy's sister Athena is married to James Kottak from the Scorpions. I will ask him about this tomorrow So was it just on tour or they were total frauds that never sang their own music?

I love Tommy Lee. He's one of the reason's i play drums today!

I got to meet him last year!

I can't belive his own sister would sell his drums like that. If she is short cash im sure there is much better ways of getting it.

I much rather see that donated to a hard rock cafe.

She isn't short on cash at all but you gotta understand how much free equipment someone that famous get's. It's just taking up space and they are moving and don't have room for it. Might as well sell it to a die hard crue fan that is willing to pay what it's worth

This is what i heard, now remember i went to school with Steve, but my cousin was in the local rock scene who knows them well, he was the singer for the band ROXX, he was also the opriginal singer for Skid Row until they took Sebastian. From what i was told they were kicked off that tour for lip syncing. now like i said if you look everywhere you will see 4 members of the band on all pics, promo, posters, etc.. but they really had 5. the 5th was off stage with the keyboards and from what i understand pumped alot of the vocals through the keyboards. At the time Mark and Steve were really the only 2 with any talent.

Trying to find some things for you, this is a link to a page about them, look at the members http://www.sleazeroxx.com/bands/trixter/trix.shtml - do you see a keyboard player listed?

now this is from an article - http://www.espudd.com/articles/music...er.php?cat=mus

Josh: Who was the first to leave the band? Or was it one big split?

Mark: Technically, it was liad cohen - our keyboard player. I later quit in January of 1995. I belive the rest of the guys disbanded later that year or in 1996. I'm really not sure.

Wait, found one mroe for you.

14. Why did you guys have your keyboardist Liad Cohen always play off stage? Who's idea was that?

http://www.metalsludge.tv/home/index...90&Item id=52

"14. Why did you guys have your keyboardist Liad Cohen always play off stage? Who's idea was that?

It wasnt mine......it was for the guys who later wanted to be lead singers who didnt sing at the time..........sample city....."

Now from what i know it was for him

Wow Very interesting. By the way I think I met you at internext in florida a couple of years ago when I was at world wide content. Sound familar?
Do you have any pics of the original skid row with your friend? I ran into Dave the Snake Sabo in the supermarket a few weeks ago. He is working in management for Doc Mghee now. He said he got carpel tunnel and can't play anymore.

My cousin Joey D'Angeli was their original singer, i don't have a pic of them, he is still great friends with Rachel Bolan. here are a couple things that tell about it -

If you're gonna sell it on Ebay, I think that it'd be smart to start it off at 1 cent rather than $8K. I think the biggest problem sellers have is that they list them off too high to start with. If you started it off at 1 cent, I'm sure that it'd shoot up to over $8K and you'd already have a pile of people that were outbid watching it, which definately is a good thing.

You can always put a reserve on it, but I don't think that'd be needed with a set like that.
