Good question. It was my understanding that you were limited to 150 connections with the new version of Macromedia C Server.

                                      The old version was unlimited.
I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

                                      Webair, bitches.

Yes, Flash Communication Server and Flash Media Server based their licenses on how many multiple connections can occur.

Our software also regulates this outside of Flashcom so if you would like 500 models lets say to be online , then you would want our unlimited connections license and you would want to stack a number of flash media or flash communications servers

I hope this answers your question. If you have anymore please feel free to hit me up on icq or email:

I thought i would also chime in and just say that its very affordable to rent flash media server.

Looks very professional, smooth, clean - better than a lot of offerings. I can't believe there aren't more "turnkey" packages like this out there!

I get a lot of inquiries from people looking for video chat site software and really don't know what to tell them. There's not too much out there to choose from.

In any event, I'm seriously curious about learning more as I want to add live chat to an existing site. One big question is, how customizable is the front-end of the site - is this software based on a specific design (e.g. the one in your demo) or can it be "plugged into" an existing design?

I'll be hitting you up to talk further.

                                                              Hi BlueWire,
Looks very good and you have nice features. Is your platform already running on top of Flash Media Server?

Yesterday we deployed our new Flash Media Server platform including an own written Server Cluster App to handle the load balancing. It took a while but FMS got some nice features and its more stable and faster then FCS.

Q: Is it just for the software (and I have to get my own server, Flash server, etc.)? Or is this a hosted solution?

A: Our pricing is for the software. The software is then hosted on your server. Flash Media Server can be purchased outright from Macromedia or leased at very affordable prices from companies such as http://www.influxis.com/ .

Q: How does it integrate with payment systems?

A: Our software uses a credits system. A customer purchases credits and then those credits are deducted by the second. A credits system is the best option for preventing chargebacks as well as taking advantage of the theory of unused credits like on a gift card. We can take care of the integration of the payment processor for you. All major adult billing companies can be used.

Q: If it wouldn't be too much trouble, can you say exactly what must be provided by the purchaser (for example, once the package is purchased what do i have to do on my end to get it up and running - besides getting performers obviously!).

A: You will need a server or servers that can handle PHP/MYSQL and Flash Communication Server or Flash Media Server. Flash Media Server runs on Linux and Windows systems. It does not run on FreeBSD. For optimal performance, 2 servers can be a great option. A windows one for FlashMediaServer and a freebsd or linux for PHP/MYSQL components. If you need performers, we have contacts with a number of studios as well that can help you out with populating your camsite

Q: I assume I can "seamlessly" upgrade to other packages once more performers are added?

A: Yes, its just a matter of us giving you a different license key for your specific server. Our license keys only work on the server(s) you provide for installation. Upgrade your key to 20, 50, unlimited performers...thats all there is to it!

Q: Lastly, in terms of customization, how does this work - is the customization limited to replacing images or access to the site template or actual page code? I ask because if I want to integrate some additional features onto the site, I need to know what is involved or if it's possible. (Some examples: Adding additional info or "fields" for performers in their profile, creating categories/niches -- Blondes, Fetish, etc., cleaning up the Model Gallery/Profile page designs, only showing the Chat buttons if she's online ... these general kind of things)

A: Anything and everything can be modified. Customizations are billed at $35/hr. For those wanting to customize long term, we recommend taking a good hard look at our Open Source License. It is a significant cost at 20k , but it provides full source code of the script. You can open up 20 different sites with it if you want. Do in-house customizations...the sky is the limit. You just cant resell it.

Looks very good and you have nice features. Is your platform already running on top of Flash Media Server?

Yesterday we deployed our new Flash Media Server platform including an own written Server Cluster App to handle the load balancing. It took a while but FMS got some nice features and its more stable and faster then FCS.

Ours is running on flash media server. Since we were developing for 10 months we originally coded this for Flash Communication Server. But the transition to flash media server only took about 2 days because of how we had coded it.

Some features are running faster with the switch. We will in our next formal release optimize for use with flash media server to improve our stream even more
